The NDIS provides funding to eligible people based on their individual needs.

Can NDIS be used overseas?

If you travel abroad, you can continue to use your benefits and financing for up to 6 weeks (or longer if we give you more time). This is referred to as the “grace period.” If you need to use your funding internationally, you should probably have it self-managed or plan-managed.

How do you charge travel under NDIS?

Providers must charge travel time separately from the standard claim. Providers will need to identify the claim type as worker travel time. The amount must reflect the actual travel time. For example, if travel time is 10 minutes, only 10 minutes can be billed.

Can support Coordinators charge travel?

Support coordinators can claim two types of travel expenses as long as they meet the standards listed above: labor costs and transportation charges (the time it takes for you to travel to a location where the service will be delivered). The maximum rate varies depending on your location and the location of your clients.

Can NDIS pay for flights?

What is transport funding? A participant will generally be able to access funding through the NDIS for transport assistance if the participant cannot use public transport without substantial difficulty due to their disability.

How much is NDIS travel allowance?

The NDIA considers that the following would be reasonable contributions: up to $0.85 a kilometre for a vehicle that is not modified for accessibility; and. other forms of transport or associated costs up to the full amount, such as road tolls, parking, public transport fares.

Can I get mobility allowance on NDIS?

If you have a National Disability Insurance Scheme plan, you cannot get Mobility Allowance (NDIS). To make an online claim, you must have a myGov account that is linked to Centrelink. If you don’t already have a myGov or a Centrelink online account, you’ll need to get one.
