An NDIS plan review is the process by which the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIS) evaluates your current supports to see if they are meeting your needs and assisting you in reaching your plan goals.

An NDIS plan review is the process by which the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIS) evaluates your current supports to see if they are meeting your needs and assisting you in reaching your plan goals.

It is an opportunity for you to compare your progress to your plan goals, provide feedback, and make any changes to your plan that will allow you to meet your objectives and receive the necessary support. If you are dissatisfied with an NDIA decision regarding your funding, you can request an internal review. This can be accomplished in writing, in person, over the phone, or via email. You must explain why you believe a decision is incorrect in your request.

FAQS

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people based on their individual needs.

How long does a request to review a decision take? We aim to complete all internal reviews within 60 days from the day after we receive your request. We will also provide you with reasons for our decisions in writing.

You can only see your current plan in the my NDIS app. To get information about your previous plan, please use the myplace portal or contact the NDIS on 1800 800 110.

If your personal circumstances change significantly and this affects the supports you need from the NDIS, you can request a plan reassessment at any time by completing the change of circumstances form.

After it is approved, you will receive your plan either in person or in the mail, and through the myplace portal. Your early childhood partner, local area coordinator partner or NDIA planner will let you know the next steps and how long it will take to receive your approved plan.

 

If you disagree with the NDIA’s review of your access request, you can apply for a review by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) . Visit the AAT website at www.aat.gov.au (external) or call 1800 228 333. You can’t ask the AAT to review a decision before there has been a review by the NDIA.

When your financing needs to be reviewed owing to a change in your circumstances, this is referred to as an unplanned plan review. If your circumstances change, you are required by law to notify the NDIA. Some of these adjustments could be: Your disability requirements alter. Your informal care arrangements will change dramatically.
